Whenever Lyss Stern tells you about a book, everyone listens! So Divamom‘s choice for its Book Club was such an excellent choice! On Grace by Susie Orman Schnall!
On Tuesday, April 8th the novel’s debut introduction was held in NYC, at a beautiful place named the DASHA Wellness & Spa. As you walked towards the Wellness Center; two charming woman greeted you with a big smile. Walking further, two glass doors and as you opened them, you hear “Welcome Dolls!”
The space was rather large and your mind was quickly transformed to relax merely by the scent of jasmine in the air and beautiful white hydrangea all around. A cocktail bar with all the fabulous favorites and trays of chocolate. Refreshing cucumber water, chocolate truffles, platters of fruit and vegetables.
DASHA associates were providing mini massages to all the guests and giving tickets for a raffle to win two DASHA services at the close of the evening! This is what you call Mommy pampering!
Then as you turned, the beautiful Susie Orman Schnall, the author of On Grace was meeting and greeting everyone with such enthusiasm. I wanted to know about her novel even more after meeting her!
Lyss proudly spoke about Divamom’s Book Club, its history and her warm felt introduction of Susie was received by an abundance of applauses throughout!
Everyone hushed to hear Susie read an excerpt of her novel! Without giving too much away about the novel, it’s a narrative of a young woman approaching her 40’s and exploring all the aspects of life which can, could and will affect a woman! 
Soon after the novel was available to buy! For all purchases, Susie so kindly wrote a short message to the reader with her signature! Cake cutting, DASHA gift bags and surprised winners were announced for the raffle tickets given at the start of the evening! A wonderful time had by all! For me, it was such a pleasure meeting Susie. 
Now… how could I talk about the novel, unless I read it! So I had an entire day filled with On Grace! It started early this morning while having breakfast, during lunch, waiting in the doctor’s office and then the long line I was on in Costco! Rushing through my 30 minute exercise; upon returning home – within shy of 12:30 AM with a cup of chamomile tea, I just finished the Epilogue!!!!!
Whew! Such a delightful page turner, leaving me thinking about how precious life truths are and the hardest part to do…is the next step!
Before leaving the event last night, I purchased an extra novel and it’s signed! I thought this would be a wonderful opportunity to introduce you to the author, see her literary style and most importantly enjoy a good novel; which I so enjoyed reading!
