Fashion’s Night Out with Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian’s Sister!

26 Jul

It’s going to be August, which means………..  NYC Fashion Week preparations and announcements.  So much work goes into getting ready!

So, I just received the news that Kendall Jenner will be the beautiful soiree for this year’s LA Fashion’s Night Out!  A beautiful young woman and I can’t wait to see her in action!

Kendall is not new to this, she was on the runway last year and did absolutely superb; besides she is gorgeous!   GORGEOUS!!!!!!

What’s Fashion’s Night Out?  It’s four years and going strong!

Editors, stars, models, fashionistas, fans, and designers on September 6, 2012, flood stores in cities across the country and around the world for fashion’s most iconic extravaganza.

More than 4,500 events are here in the States alone last year, featuring special limited-edition products, celebrity appearances, and unforgettable performances!

I ‘d purchased my Jimmy Choo’s at one of the FNO trunk show events last year!!  I was sooooo happy, they are a work of art!  Simply fabulous!  From what I am told, FNO 2012 is going to out do 2011’s event!

So mark the date on your calendar.   Make sure you check for updates on where an event may be held near you! FNO

Kendall will be at the Beverly Center!

Aurora, Colorado – My Thoughts

24 Jul

It has taken me a few days to process all this!

The focus should be with the families, the victims and the community!  For the last few days, I am thinking about how a staple of America, going to the movies turned into THIS!

In my opinion <my opinion>, it has nothing to do with the Batman movie.  It could have been any movie!!!!.  How many times have I just abruptly decided to go to the movies, to see a movie!

For me it ranges, from Harry Potter, Ice Age to a movie about whales in Alaska!  At each showing, there are people from all walks of life.  It may be a children’s movie, or children accompanying their parents, young people or the elderly.

There is the staff at the theatres who are working, some college students or perhaps those coming in for the day looking for a job or even people getting the matinée to receive a discount.  It may be a person who wanted popcorn and enjoyment of the free refills!

The movies represents people, ordinary people taking the time out of their busy day to enjoy!  With their families and friends. That’s ALL!

And here taking this forum of relief, one person decides to make an agenda to create pure mayhem for over 220 people!!!!!

With the intent to harm more!  #%)@&%&@) crazy and absolutely unacceptable!  I am so upset about it, because it is too close!  It could have been in my community or it could have been in yours!  It’s so sad!

I refused to write anything more about this person who caused such hysteria, fear and sadness  – is it important to know WHY? For some it maybe, for me is to now focus on the families, friends and victims whose lives have been changed!

So with that, I am going to keep praying for comfort for all affected and for those who have survived to push on!

If you are interested, you can contribute to the Aurora Relief Fund; which is being used to give any aid required by victims and their loved ones.

The Aurora Victim Relief Fund will help defray some of that expense. The full list of non-profits in the network is available at the GivingFirst.org site.

With thoughts and prayers,

Macy’s Say I Do Campaign, Wedding Gift & Registry Ideas!

14 Jul

Will you be attending a wedding soon?  June is usually the kick-off month wedding nuptials are planned; which are so exciting!

I have two weddings to attend, one this month and the other in September.  I know!  I know, I should have gotten a gift by now!

Well, I did get one and that’s on it’s way;  however I still was left this afternoon thinking about what to get for the other!

I checked the bride and groom’s on-line bridal registry on Macy’s and the items which were left; were kind of expensive.  I really want to stay in the limits of my budget!

So, while looking at the registry, I noticed there also was an area to shop, called The Wedding Shop and was very happy to see items that were affordable, some on sale and very, very nice but it was slotted for the bride’s bridal party!   For brides-to-be, it would be just great!

Still perplexed, I said let me click this, it was their gift guide!  YES!!!!  Much better, I selected the section Wedding and was pleased to see some affordable items, not too cheesy…. but nice!

With two – five clicks of my mouse, my purchased was done!   The shipping rates were reasonable and they do international.

While surfing, I got hooked on their ad campaign’s song – which was playing in the background!  I’ve placed the ad videos below to share with you, I love the couple which have a retro-vintage style!!!  You can get some great ideas for a party with some style!

Anyway, if you are late <like I am> looking for a gift, try looking at the Macy’s site as one of your options!
