Scottish Weddings! What are Your Traditions?

23 Jan

Meagan (who just got engaged this past Saturday) sent me an e-mail wanting to know if the feet washing  part at a Stag party is actually a true step!

I am currently gathering information on Scottish weddings for her!  So, I said let me find out!  YES!  I can ask  questions too!!   So I said to myself, let me ask my readers, what are other Scottish wedding traditions (for some may not be written; they’re just known) and do you have a specific destination?

So far I’ve ‘ obtained information about The Hen’s Night and the Loving Cup!   Please write your replies in the comment section!!!

AND thanks!!!!!

My Audrey Hepburn Moment!!!! In Love With Her all Over Again!

9 Jan

For four days, I was forced to stay home and relax!  Advised by my doctors to “Don’t Move”!  With a pulled muscle in my knee and minor eye surgery, I had no choice!!!! 🙂

So what do you do?  While becoming completely bored within 2 hours and not interested in watching any Reality TV; I’d remembered I received a DVD gift box of a few of Audrey Hepburn’s movies.  So, I got my wine, brie cheese, grapes and crackers; with my favorite blanket and placed the first DVD to play!!

This is where it all began! What?  The re-introduction to the beautiful Audrey Hepburn!  What a treat I had, a brilliant actress with her smile and deep alluring eyes!

Whether it was drama, funny, laughing or not saying a word, her craft and charm was evident on the screen.  I’ve always loved her style, no wonder she was a designer’s dream – she was a key ingredient to FASHION.  If a designer didn’t include her or even consider her for their designs, the designer was considered STUPID!!!!!

In four days <I played Sabrina 2x, Breakfast at Tiffany’s 2x too!>, I finished all the movies and Audrey is still resonating in my head.

Today, I am out and about; feeling well rested and seeing clearly…. I wore a  black sheath dress with double-stranded pearls and my patent leather shoes <low pencil heel with a pointed toe, being smart>!!!!!  Looking fabulous!!!

” My look is attainable. Women can look like Audrey Hepburn by flipping out their hair, buying the large sunglasses, and the little sleeveless dresses.” Audrey Hepburn

I don’t know if any of you have ever had an Audrey Hepburn moment lately such as I! If yes, please share!   🙂

Come to think of it, I guess she’s always been there in my mind, however the four days spent with her (like a dear friend who stopped by); just gave me a reminder!!!   Love  you dearly, Audrey Hepburn!

audreyhepburnloveI can go on and on! Really, I can!!!!!!!!!

Oops! Too Many New Year’s Resolutions!

4 Jan

Waiting here on line, I am thinking about the New Year’s resolutions, so I thought I share!   New resolutions which may include, new diets, vitamin taking, excercise, cooking lessons, keep your closet in order and remember to call your best friend more often – because she has been complaining….”You are not keeping me in the loop!”

You’ve probably have guessed this is MY list; with added additions daily for  me to make sure to eat better, make your bed in the morning (yikes) and then be extra early in your arrivals!

If you are like me, you also may be suffering from the ultimate pressure of making too, too many resolutions for the new year!   So, let’s pick two!  I said it only two!  TWO! You have a better chance of sticking to two, then twenty!   At least, I do!

So as I am planning the calendar year, I am putting little reminder alerts in my blackberry to stay focus.  I am a visual person, so this works for me!    A lot of events are approaching and I am prepping myself to forgo all the little pretty tray traps which always have me  eating extra!  Eat before I go!  This is one of my reminders!

The other is to keep my vision board up to date, for I have so many ideas!  My goal list should be present, front and center; so I can work towards it!  See that was easy; right?!

So I’ve circled two of my resolutions for the year, if I complete them – then I circle the next two!  Try it! Don’t put too much pressure on yourself and remember be courageous too!

Yipppeee!  I am next to get my DD latte..I got to keep warm, for it is freezing in New York City and I am on 12th AVE by the water!   Brrrrrrrhhh!   See you later…and be well!

Letia 🙂
