Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall was hospitalized over the weekend after being stabbed in the stomach Friday night by his WIFE. She used a kitchen knife. Michi Nogami-Marshall claims she acted in self-defense.
She was arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Brandon underwent surgery Friday night, and was released on Saturday. No organs were hit, so he should be okay.
His manager issued the following statement, “This is a very difficult time for Brandon and family, thankfully he will make a full recovery. We simply ask that his privacy is respected.”
Just married last year in July, I recently did a blog on their wonderful wedding and the fashion detailed for both the groom and bride (Wedding Bliss for Michi & Brandon with Christiano Siriano!) So, so unfortunate and sad! Wedding preparations and nuptials are the beginning, however if there are difficult challenges unresolved…….it doesn’t do anyone; any good..this is the worse! My prayers are with both families for recovery and healing.
When the stabbing occurred back in April, Marshall himself lied to protect his wife. He claimed he fell on some glass. But Michi came clean, saying she used the knife on him in self defense. The result was police charges that were eventually dropped, but she’s been haunted by suspicion ever since.
But Michi has shown true love for the troubled Brandon through four years of his battle with BPD, a condition marked by intense bouts of anger, depression, anxiety, episodes of impulsive aggression, self-injury, and drug or alcohol abuse. And in a mark of true love, he’s come out to clear her good name — to explain that she really was defending herself from his BPD-fueled actions — even as it marks his. Marshall explains in video! Difficult challenge revealed. Kudos to him for being honest, now the healing can begin!
